Hi Hummerbie, Empresas,

We're one of the Nooku partners and we're lookig to do some more test implmentations using the latest release 0.6 if you've got some sites that need multilingual we can assist with an implementation.

It would be great to incorporate your feedback and comments for me to relaty to the development team.

We'll soon be running a campaign to target Joomfish users that are frustrated and need a better solution.

@Nick: My Too, but we have to wait on the final release which will probably by in 2009 and that still seems so far away.

But I think it will really be worth the wait.

This is a really interesting article. I found Nooku a while ago and it looked good then. However, I hadn't caught on to all of the url rewriting magic.
I want it and I want it now.

@Mathias: It is good to see developers like your team also looking at performance of their applications.
Speed is also a factor in SEO, but you know that!

Also good to see you monitor posts about Nooku and responding to rectify (at least for now) wrong information.
I am looking forward to the first 1.0 relase and I hope you get the caching in there.

A warm Thank You for pointing out that the spam security field did not show....corrected now, so now comments are open to everyone again (not spammers!)

Hi Hummerbie,
thanks for the kind words, I'm glad we made a good impression with Nooku at the joomla conference :-)

Just a small rectification:

>> Nooku (according to the tests they ran) even speeded up the Joomla 1.5 website

That's not yet true, but we think it soon will be. At the moment Nooku 0.5 adds about 3-4% performance overhead to joomla, which isn't too bad compared to joomfish' 20-23% : http://blogs.helion-prime.com/alexshapovalov/2008/06/30/performance-testing-of-new-joomfish-20b2-for-joomla.html

Nooku 0.5 is not using any caching yet, and we have some ideas we're working on to boost performance. That's why we said we believe we can get it to a point where Joomla actually becomes faster with Nooku installed!
